What exactly is a Class II land?
If the landowner has received a piece of land as a prize from a Maharaja, or as a reward from the government, then such piece of land is known as a Class II land. The owner of a Class II land has to obtain the approval from the relevant administrative officer before selling the said land or transferring ownership. Similarly, a part of the amount received on selling or transferring such piece of land has to be deposited with the administrative court.

- The landowners were guided with regard to the payment of a token amount to the government while selling their land to the MSRDC.
