Infrastructural Facilities: The New Road To Development – Part 2

The article “Infrastructural Facilities: The New Road To Development” aims to provide detailed information about the infrastructural facilities for travel that are being made available under the Maharashtra Samruddhi Mahamarg Project. This is the second part of the article.

The Maharashtra Samruddhi Mahamarg is not only an important scheme with respect to infrastructure for the State of Maharashtra, but also for the entire country. Special care is being taken in the construction of this modern infrastructural project. Special modern infrastructural facilities for travel are under construction on the highway. Land clearance has been completed for the same and plans for the next step in the project are being chalked out. The Samruddhi Mahamarg has been divided into Packages 1-5. Accordingly, following is the Package-wise information regarding the centers for provision of these infrastructural facilities for travel:

Package 1

1. District: Wardha; Taluka: Seloo; Location: Surgaon (Chainage from Nagpur: 48.00 km, on both right and left sides of the highway while coming from Nagpur)

2. District: Wardha; Taluka: Arvi; Location: Virul (Chainage from Nagpur: 82.00 km, on both right and left sides of the highway while coming from Nagpur)

Package 2

1. District: Amravati; Taluka: Nandgaon-Khandeshwar; Location: Waghoda (Chainage from Nagpur: 133.00 km, on the left side of the highway while coming from Nagpur) District: Amravati; Taluka: Nandgaon-Khandeshwar; Location: Shivani (Chainage from Nagpur: 137.00 km, on the right side of the highway while coming from Nagpur)

2. District: Washim; Taluka: Karanja; Location: Shaha (Chainage from Nagpur: 183.40 km, on the left side of the highway while coming from Nagpur) District: Washim; Taluka: Karanja; Location: Walhai (Chainage from Nagpur: 182.40 km, on the right side of the highway while coming from Nagpur) District: Washim; Taluka: Malegaon; Location: Ridhora (Chainage from Nagpur: 238.85 km, on the left side of the highway while coming from Nagpur) District: Washim; Taluka: Malegaon; Location: Malegaon (Chainage from Nagpur: 238.85 km, on the right side of the highway while coming from Nagpur)

3. District: Buldhana; Taluka: Mehkar; Location: Sabra-Kabra (Chainage from Nagpur: 283.00 km, on both right and left sides of the highway while coming from Nagpur) District: Buldhana; Taluka: Mehkar; Location: Mandwa (Chainage from Nagpur: 311.00 km, on both right and left sides of the highway while coming from Nagpur) District: Buldhana; Taluka: Deolgaon Raja; Location: Palaskhed Malakdeo (Chainage from Nagpur: 340.00 km, on both right and left sides of the highway while coming from Nagpur)

Package 3

1. District: Jalna; Taluka: Jalna; Location: Nidhona (Chainage from Nagpur: 371.50 km, on the left side of the highway while coming from Nagpur)

2. District: Aurangabad; Taluka: Aurangabad; Location: Varjhadi (Chainage from Nagpur: 403.00 km, on both right and left sides of the highway while coming from Nagpur)

Package 4

1. District: Ahmednagar; Taluka: Kopargaon; Location: Bhojade (Chainage from Nagpur: 509.00 km, on both right and left sides of the highway while coming from Nagpur)

2. District: Nashik; Taluka: Sinnar; Location: Marhal Bk. (Chainage from Nagpur: 553.05 km & 554.73 km, on the right and left sides of the highway while coming from Nagpur) 

Package 5

District: Thane; Taluka: Shahapur; Location: Vashala (Chainage from Nagpur: 637.85 km, on both right and left sides of the highway while coming from Nagpur)

District: Thane; Taluka: Kalyan; Location: Ushid (Chainage from Nagpur: 688.585 km, on the left side of the highway while coming from Nagpur)

Once these infrastructural facilities are provided, it will not only open up employment opportunities in nearby rural areas, but will also facilitate smooth travel for commuters on the Maharashtra Samruddhi Mahamarg.
