Maharashtra Samruddhi Mahamarg Compensation credited to farmers’ account through RTGS

  • Farmers offer land for Samruddhi under direct purchase from Shahpur
  • 1.97 Ha of land acquired; compensation of Rs 1.84 crore paid

Thane, July 15, 2017: After a successful beginning of land acquisition process from Nagpur for the proposed Maharashtra Samruddhi Mahamarg, the registration of first sale deed in Thane district was announced on Saturday, July 15, 2017. Mr. Ganpat Dagdu Dhamne and Mr. Daulat Shivram Dhanke (Hiv village) and Mr. Ganesh Pandurang Raut (Washala Budruk) in Shahpur taluka gave their 1.97 Ha of land collectively for the project.

After signing sale deeds, an amount of Rs 1.84 crore has been transferred into their accounts through RTGS. While Mr. Dhamne got Rs 72 lakh, Mr. Dhanke and Mr. Raut received Rs 79 lakh and Rs 32 lakh respectively.

Maharashtra Minister for Public Works (Public Undertakings) Mr. Eknath Shinde, Joint Managing Director of MSRDC Mr. Kiran Kurundkar and Thane District Collector Mr. Mahendra Kalyankar and Deputy Collector Ms. Revati Gaikar were present on the occasion.

With this, the process to acquire land through direct purchase scheme has also commenced in Thane district. In Thane district, the state government will be acquiring total 582.5 Ha of land from Shahpur, Bhiwandi and Kalyan talukas.

Expressing happiness over the development, Mr. Eknath Shinde said that with this, the process to acquire land for the mega project has commenced in Thane district. “Apart from these landholders, the state government has received consent from 323 people who have agreed to give away their land for NMSCE. The process of registering the sale deeds and giving away compensation is on.”

Mr. Shinde reiterated that the state government will be acquiring the land through direct purchase scheme and only after receiving consent of landholders. “The farmers are willingly coming forward to give their land and I am happy for the cooperation extended by them in this development process. Maharashtra Samruddhi Mahamarg will be an expressway to the prosperity. It will be a game changer and will ensure economic stability in the state,” he said.

“The consent received from farmers of Thane district shows the confidence the people have in this government. This process will soon start in other districts also. The state government is committed for overall development of the state. With NMSCE, the road infrastructure in the state will get a global recognition,” Mr. Shinde added.

Later speaking to mediapersons, Mr. Shinde said, “Improving road infrastructure in the state is the need of the hour and cooperation from everyone is must in this process. The state government’s aim is to make every farmer happy and bring a smile of satisfaction on their faces,” Mr. Shinde added. Later, the farmers also informed the media that they are satisfied to be part of the development process. “We are happy that our land will be going for the state’s development,” they added.

Mr. Kiran Kurundkar and Mr. Mahendra Kalyankar also spoke on the occasion and expressed satisfaction over the development.
