The work of Samrudhhi Mahamarg is on a fast track! – Part 1

The construction of Samrudhhi Mahamarg is going on in 16 sections. The section is named as ‘Construction Package’. To maintain the good speed of work and proper work management, a total of 16 construction packages are made, each having around 40 to 45 Kms. boundaries of Districts, Talukas, Villages coming within 700 Kms. Samrudhhi Mahamarg alignment, as well as many other factors, are considered while making the construction packages. Hence, the brief of how this construction work will take place and what are the updates of work given in those 16 packages will be conveyed through this series of blogs.

Details of Construction Package 1

Package 1 is from chainage Km. 0.000 to chainage Km. 31.000. This section is from Village Shivmadka to Village Khadki Amgaon in District Nagpur and has a length of 31.000 Km.

The construction work of this package is awarded to M/s. Megha Engineering & Infrastructure Ltd Along with road work, there are major structures to be constructed.

These are as follows:- 


03 Interchanges and 07 Service Roads of a total length of 12490 meters, 04 Flyovers/Viaducts of the total length of 499 meters, 01 Major Bridge of the total length of 67.8 meters, 18 Minor Bridges and 06 Canal Bridges of the total length of 115 meters.

Details of Construction Package 2

Package 2 is from chainage Km. 31.000 to chainage Km. 89.413. This section is from Village Khadki Amgaon to Village Pimpalgaon in District Wardha and has a length of 58.413 Km. Construction work of this package is awarded to M/s. Afcon Infrastructure Ltd. Along with road work, there are major structures to be constructed. 


These are as follows:-

02 Interchanges and 12 Service Roads of a total length of 3875 meters, 07 Flyovers/Viaducts of the total length of 1170 meters, 03 Major Bridges of the total length of 585 meters, 17 Minor Bridges and 07 Canal Bridges of the total length of 190 meters.

Details Construction of Package 3

Package 3 is from chainage Km. 89.300 to chainage Km. 162.667. This section is from Village Ashta to Village Wadhona Ramnath in District Amravati and has a length of 73.367 Km. The construction work of this package is awarded to M/s. NCC Ltd. Along with road work, there are major structures to be constructed. 


These are as follows:-

02 Interchanges and 18 Service Roads of a total length of 5210 meters, 1 Flyover/Viaduct of the total length of 469.504 meters, 04 Major Bridges of the total length of 448.8 meters 50 Minor Bridges

Along with the above big structures, there are many small and medium structures that will be constructed in the highway work. The above-mentioned contractors have started the construction of the highway in their awarded packages.
